Below is my work from a rather dark phase of my life, where I used the pseudonym Blood Red Glossy.  My prize possession was a tin of red gloss paint which I covered found objects in and mixed with blacks and browns to create tones and textures reminiscent of blood & gore.  Whilst I'm pretty sure I'm through this phase now, I still feel incredibly attached to the work I made and so cannot completely ignore this part of my journey - in fact, it may have a lot to do with why my current Modus Operandi is so cheerful; a departure from the past.
